Friday, 22nd of June, International Business College Mitrovica hosted the IBC-M Appreciation Day as part of the International Week at the College. This event brought together IBC-M donors as well as national and international partners.
Present at the event were representatives from European Union Office in Kosovo, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, Mitrovica’s South Municipality Vice-President, the Dutch and Swedish embassies in Kosovo, NGO ”Spark”, secondary schools and dozens of partner organizations from non-governmental and private sector.
As a token of gratitude, IBC-M awarded Certificates of Appreciation to all who contributed in making the International Business College Mitrovica a success story.
Throughout the International Week at IBC-M we hosted 20 students from Exeter University from UK, who together with IBC-M students, worked in research projects on ‘Socioeconomic Challenges of the Region” and presented their findings on Friday. Over 150 guests were present in the Appreciation Day ceremony.
The attendees were welcomed by the Director of the College, Ms. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, who cordially thanked the donors, as well as all the partners who have been close to IBC-M from the beginning to the present day. Mrs. Kerolli stressed that everyone in IBC-M felt very proud of the all the work done until now, in providing high quality education for all communities in Kosovo.
Mr. Mellish, from the European Union Office in Kosovo, expressed the European Union’s commitment to support education in Kosovo and support reconciliation among communities. Mr. Verheyen, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Kosovo and Mr. Paulson, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of Sweden and Head of Development Cooperation – emphasized their support for the work of IBC-M, remembering all we have passed together. Embassies of the Netherlands and Sweden have been the main supporters of IBC-M since the beginning.
