A study visit under the umbrella of SMARTEL (E+ CBHE project) was hosted by The University of Mostar (SUM) in Bosnia and Herzegovina on 14th and 15th December. It was a valuable opportunity for participating academic institutions to exchange knowledge, share the latest projects’ updates, best practices and experiences. The IBC-M team involved in this study visit was composed of 4 participants (2 academics and 2 administrative staff members).

This visit was focused on enhancing the capacity of SMARTEL consortium in various areas, such as curriculum development, research practices and collaboration, innovations in teaching methods by utilizing all the benefits of smart labs and e-learning.  Presentation of SUM teaching platforms and developed plug-in for performance monitoring was delivered during these training days. 11th SMARTEL project meeting was also held during this study visit with the aim to present the latest project developments by each partner, as well as, to properly plan all upcoming project activities.

Two tailored workshops were held at SUM: 1) How to prepare SMARTBOOK publication as one of the project deliverables and 2) Review of shared e-content on SMARTEL virtual course. Participants have the opportunity to visit SUM e-learning platform, various departments, facilities, and research centers as part of The University of Mostar. Informal events and networking sessions were organized to encourage interaction and collaboration among faculty, researchers, and administrative staff.
