IBC-M was pleased to host incoming staff mobility from The University College Denmark (UCL) under the umbrella of E+ credit mobility scheme. Constructive meetings were held between IBC-M team members and Ms. Heather D. Johannsen, Inter-Faculty International Coordinator at The Faculty of Education and Social Sciences.
“It was my pleasure to once again visit and work with the management and academic staff of IBC-M in Kosovo in January 2024. UCL University College in Denmark has been partners with IBC-M for over a decade, with the Department of Social Work at UCL actively joining the partnership in 2018. This active partnership has been demonstrated with successful Erasmus+ KA-171 grant awards in recent years, which have supported student and staff mobilities between IBC-M and UCL.
My recent mobility to IBC-M included discussions with Rector Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli – Mustafa with regards to programme collaboration and curriculum development work, as well as discussions with her qualified team regarding staff and student exchanges in the coming academic year. Both IBC-M’s PAW and UCL’s Social Work programmes are eager to continue and increase our cooperation in offering practice placement opportunities for our students in Kosovo and Denmark, as practice placements are essential and compulsory elements of the study programmes.
As well, I had the pleasure of working with Vice-rector Prof. Ass. Bujar Gallopeni, along with local and regional partners, on a multinational Erasmus+ project proposal in which UCL’s Social Work Department will play an active role. UCL’s support to this project consortium reflects our commitment to IBC-M for the foreseeable future.
As a result of constructive discussions in January 2024, UCL’s Department of Social Work is looking forward to welcoming colleagues from IBC-M to Denmark Spring 2024, where our work and discussion pertaining to curriculum development and quality assurance will continue. UCL is pleased to share our knowledge of praxis involvement in the BSW programme. Reciprocally, Social Work at UCL is interested in learning more about IBC-M’s research, development and academic work in the Western Balkans.” by Heather D. Johannsen, Inter-Faculty International Coordinator/The Faculty of Education and Social Sciences.
