General semester

The first semester at IBC-M is an interdisciplinary common semester across three bachelor programmes (International Sales and Marketing, Environmental and Agricultural Management, and Public Administration and Welfare) and it is called the General Semester. The General Semester ensures a smooth introduction of IBC-M programmes to new students and supports their academic and social transition to college. It introduces students to learning opportunities and resources available at IBC-M.

All first-semester students within these three programmes take the same classes that represent the basic management courses and courses related to academic departments and programmes. The first semester of studying at IBC-M also includes orientation, academic advising services, tutoring, and other services by dedicated academic and administrative staff aiming to support student learning and success.
