On Friday, January 24, 2025, the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) hosted a significant Rectors’ Conference, which gathered the rectors of all public universities in Kosovo and representatives of the Department of Higher Education, Science and Technology of MESTI, to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration and improve higher education. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu, Rector of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina,” and attended by the Minister of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Ms. Arbërie Nagavci.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Arben Hajrullahu presented the work of the Rectors’ Conference, outlining its achievements and the importance of aligning efforts among public universities. The rectors discussed the operating regulations of the conference, which will guide its work and foster effective collaboration. A key focus of the meeting was the coordination of a new agreement for inter-university cooperation, aimed at formalizing partnerships and creating opportunities for resource sharing and joint programs.
The rectors outlined a series of planned activities for the first half of 2025, including joint academic programs, research collaborations, and workshops designed to enhance the quality of higher education.
A commitment was made to hold regular meetings every two months to ensure consistent dialogue, address common challenges, and exchange best practices. This decision reflects a shared recognition of the need for ongoing communication and cooperation among institutions.
