The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) continues to demonstrate excellence in international academic competitions, with two Business Management students achieving outstanding success through the VirtuEU Project.
Eris Bublaku and Muharrem Xhemajli, Business Management students at IBCM, secured first place in the international VirtuEU competitions during Cycles 4 and 5, earning the opportunity to represent IBCM at the upcoming EVBB Event in Thessaloniki, Greece, this June.
Their achievements add to IBCM's impressive track record within the VirtuEU Project. Across the five completed project cycles, IBCM students have secured first place in four competitions, highlighting the college's strong commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration, and student development.
Eris was part of the winning team behind "Volunteer 360 Hub," a project designed to promote volunteer engagement and create opportunities for individuals to showcase their talents and skills within their communities. The initiative emphasized inclusion, active citizenship, and personal development through innovative digital solutions.
Reflecting on the achievement, Eris shared:
"Winning this competition felt amazing. Knowing the hard work my colleagues and I put into creating the right presentation, I am very proud of this achievement."
Muharrem contributed to the winning project "Leadership in Times of Change," which explored the importance of leadership in helping young people navigate rapid social, technological, and economic transformations while creating positive impact in their communities.
Speaking about his experience, Muharrem stated:
"I felt honored and grateful to have won the competition. It was rewarding to see the hard work of our team recognized and appreciated."
Both students highlighted the value of international collaboration throughout the competition. Working alongside peers from different countries enabled them to exchange ideas, strengthen their communication and teamwork skills, and gain new perspectives on contemporary European challenges.
Their success has earned them a place at the EVBB Event in Thessaloniki, where they will represent IBCM and Kosovo among students, educators, and professionals from across Europe.
The achievements of Eris and Muharrem were accomplished under the mentorship of Prof. Asst. Vjosë Latifi, whose academic guidance and continuous support played an important role throughout the VirtuEU project process. IBCM also extends its appreciation to all staff members who contributed to facilitating the students' participation and success.
IBCM congratulates Eris Bublaku and Muharrem Xhemajli on this remarkable accomplishment and looks forward to seeing them represent the college on the international stage. Their success reflects IBCM's ongoing commitment to empowering students through international opportunities, innovation, and academic excellence.
