On Monday, 08 June 2026, IBCM welcomed prospective students, current students, alumni, professors, and company representatives to Riverside Campus for Info Day & Career Day 2026, a full-day event that connected academic discovery with professional opportunity. Designed around the idea of moving from theory to practice, the event gave participants the chance to explore study programs, experience campus life, and engage directly with the career-oriented side of student development.
The day opened with live demonstrations led by professors in the Environmental Lab, Psytech Lab, Electronics Lab, and PC Lab, giving visitors a practical look at how learning takes place at IBCM across different fields of study. These demonstrations added a hands-on dimension to the event and highlighted IBCM’s focus on applied learning, innovation, and student engagement.
During the Info Day segment, prospective students also took part in a welcome and information session, a presentation of academic programs, a guided campus tour, and student activities. This part of the program created a welcoming environment in which visitors could meet professors and students, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of academic life at IBCM.
The Career Fair created one of the most important moments of the day for current students and future graduates. More than just a networking activity, it served as a direct bridge between education and employment by giving students the chance to meet employers, ask questions, explore opportunities, and better understand what the job market expects from young professionals.
Before the fair began, students took part in a career guidance session led by Prof. Asst. Agron Hajdari, who offered practical advice on professional development, employability, and the importance of making informed career choices during university life. His session helped frame the Career Day experience by encouraging students to reflect not only on where they want to go professionally, but also on how to prepare for those next steps in a realistic and confident way.
The program then continued with a motivational talk by IBCM alumna Lirika Raca, whose contribution added a personal and inspiring perspective to the day. By sharing her journey beyond IBCM, she gave students a relatable example of how academic experience can develop into professional progress, reinforcing the value of persistence, ambition, and lifelong growth.
The employer networking component that followed gave students the opportunity to engage in direct conversations with company representatives in a professional yet approachable setting. These exchanges allowed participants to ask about internships, workplace expectations, required skills, and career pathways, making the event especially valuable for students preparing to enter the labour market.
This connection between student learning and employer engagement was also reflected in the experience of Albonita Uka, a student completing an internship who now presented the company during the event. Her participation showed in a very concrete way how IBCM students can grow into professional roles and contribute back to the same environment that supported their development.
Students themselves emphasized the value of the day’s career-focused activities. Elsa Tahiri noted that
“Career Day gave us a valuable opportunity to connect with professionals and better understand how our studies can prepare us for the job market,”
While Uvejsa Rama shared that:
“It was inspiring to hear different experiences and to meet employers directly. Events like this help students feel more confident about their next steps.”
The event concluded with a reception for companies and students, offering additional space for informal discussion and continued networking. Through its combination of academic presentation, practical demonstration, career guidance, alumni inspiration, and employer interaction, IBCM Info Day & Career Day 2026 once again showed how the institution supports students in building a path from education to employment.
