
IBCM is pleased to invite students and staff to a guest lecture by CPT Jared Blackburn, Operational Law Judge Advocate with the United States Army National Guard.
CPT Blackburn will provide an overview of the U.S. Judge Advocate Corps (JAG Corps), sharing insights on the role of military lawyers in advising commanders, supporting international missions, ensuring legal compliance, and protecting the rights of service members. Currently deployed on the KFOR 35 Mission, he brings firsthand experience of legal operations in international settings.
In addition to his military service, CPT Blackburn has extensive experience in legal practice, public administration, and community service, having worked as a staff attorney, law clerk, and policy fellow in various organizations. His professional background combines practical legal expertise with a strong commitment to community and operational law.
