Ajna Rushiti, a 6th-semester student in the International Sales and Marketing program at IBCM, completed her exchange mobility in Geisenheim at the Faculty of International Wine Business.
During her exchange, Ajna had the opportunity to explore new environments and gain valuable international exposure. She traveled to several European countries, including Luxembourg, France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, enriching her experience both academically and culturally.
From an academic perspective, the exchange significantly contributed to her studies by exposing her to new teaching methods, international case studies, and practical insights in the field of marketing. She further developed key competencies such as intercultural communication, market analysis, and adaptability, skills that are essential in today’s global business environment. The experience also enhanced her understanding of international markets, particularly within the wine and hospitality sector.
Meeting people from diverse backgrounds allowed her to learn about different cultures and perspectives, while also gaining meaningful insights from each interaction. This experience played a significant role in her personal development, helping her become more confident, independent, and socially engaged. Although she initially approached the experience on her own, the welcoming and inclusive environment quickly made her feel supported and at ease.
Ajna also proudly introduced elements of her own culture, particularly traditional dishes, which were warmly received and offered others a unique cultural experience.
Despite occasional challenges, she adapted quickly and made the most of her time abroad. She remains in contact with the friends she made during the exchange and looks forward to visiting them again in the future.
Among her most memorable moments were sharing cultural experiences with fellow students, exchanging stories from their home countries, and hearing a variety of native languages, making her exchange journey truly enriching and unforgettable.
