Today, the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) and the University of New York Tirana (UNYT) have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
This agreement reflects a shared commitment to academic excellence, international collaboration, and institutional development. The MoU was officially signed at the Riverside campus by Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli, Rector of IBCM, and Prof. Dr. Ali Güneş, Rector of UNYT.
The collaboration is founded on the principle of reciprocity and aims to foster long-term cooperation in the fields of education, research, and innovation. Both institutions will collaborate to expand opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers across borders.
Under this agreement, IBCM and UNYT will collaborate in various academic and research initiatives, including:
Exchange of faculty, researchers, and administrative staff
Student mobility across undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels
Joint academic events, such as conferences, workshops, and symposia
Development of joint or dual degree programs
Curriculum development and academic resource sharing
Cooperation in international project proposals under Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, and other global frameworks
Participation in academic networks and knowledge-sharing platforms
This partnership marks a significant step in IBCM’s ongoing efforts to expand its international collaborations and provide meaningful academic pathways for its students and staff. The MoU will remain in effect for an initial period of five years, with the potential for renewal.
We look forward to the many opportunities this collaboration will bring and to building a stronger academic bridge between Kosovo and Albania.
