For the second time, a student from the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) has excelled in an international academic competition.
Enes Hajra, a first-year Business Management (Bachelor) student, has been announced the winner of the 3rd cycle of the VirtuEU Project competition, representing IBCM with dedication, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
His winning project addressed the topic:
“Democracy is not guaranteed- Why young people no longer trust institutions and how that threatens Europe’s future.”
Out of nine international teams, only one group was selected as the overall winner, with Enes’s team achieving this outstanding result. As a result, Enes will present this achievement at the EVBB Event in Brussels in 2026, representing both IBCM and Kosovo.
This was Enes’s first participation in the VirtuEU competition, making the achievement even more remarkable for a first-year student. Reflecting on the experience, he emphasized that the project focused on real-world challenges that the next generation of business leaders must address to contribute to a more sustainable and integrated European economy.
According to Enes, one of the most valuable aspects of the competition was the opportunity to transform theoretical business concepts into a practical project that resonated with an international jury.
Winning the competition is also an opportunity to represent IBCM and Kosovo on a broader European stage. The upcoming EVBB event will provide a platform for networking with professionals and institutions shaping the future of vocational education and training across Europe.
Enes shared the following reflection on his success:
“Winning this competition has shown me that with the right mindset, students from Kosovo can compete at the highest European level and succeed.”
IBCM extends its sincere appreciation to Prof. Asst. Vjosë Latifi for her academic guidance and to Arbnora Nuhi for her administrative support throughout the process.
IBCM congratulates Enes Hajra on this remarkable achievement and looks forward to seeing him represent the college and Kosovo at the EVBB event in Brussels.
