IBCM participated in the Co-Design Workshop for Modular Toolkit Development and Training of Trainers, held in Vienna and hosted by the Medical University of Vienna, as part of the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) project WE-MIND.
The workshop brought together partner institutions to collaboratively develop the first draft modules of the WE-MIND mental health toolkit. Through lectures, group work, co-design activities, and implementation planning sessions, participants contributed to the development of practical resources aimed at strengthening mental health promotion and support systems within higher education institutions.
Representing IBCM at the workshop were Prof. Asst. Linda Abazi-Morina, Prof. Asst. Bojan Lalic, Student Service Coordinator Ema Kursumlia, and student Lenart Salihu. During the event, the IBCM team actively engaged in discussions on the needs identified during the project assessment phase and contributed perspectives from teaching, student support, and institutional practice.
The collaborative work carried out during the workshop marks an important step toward developing tools that are practical, relevant, and adaptable to the needs of universities and students across the region. The outcomes of the workshop will contribute to the next phases of the WE-MIND project, including the development of a multilingual online mental health platform, Training of Trainers activities, student orientation courses, and the integration of mental health-related topics into selected university curricula.
Through its participation in WE-MIND, IBCM continues to contribute to international initiatives that promote student wellbeing, strengthen institutional capacities, and support the development of inclusive and supportive higher education environments.
