Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) in coordination with the Kosovo Police, is hosting a three-day workshop titled “Environmental Crimes: General Overview”
The event gathered experts and professionals to address the critical issue of environmental crimes, particularly those related to waste trafficking and pollution. The workshop featured valuable contributions from:
PK Major Arsim Krasniqi, Director at the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime Investigation, opened the event with a broad introduction to environmental crimes.
Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, Rector of IBCM, who presented on “Waste Trafficking Crimes” and led a session on “International Judicial Cooperation and Legal Assistance in Serious Crimes Caused by Waste Pollution.”
The day continued with an in-depth session on the roles of institutions and agencies in combating environmental crimes, again led by PK Major Krasniqi.
The workshop concluded with a practical drone exercise, showcasing how modern technology can be used in environmental crime investigation and surveillance.
This initiative was part of IBCM’s ongoing commitment to education, sustainability, and regional cooperation on environmental protection.
