On 25th September 2025, IBCM welcomed Prof. Gerhard Speckbacher for a full-day research workshop, engaging the faculty in topics central to international research and teaching excellence.
Workshop I: Doing Research in an International Environment
Participants explored:

Selecting appropriate journals for publication
Developing a research agenda as a researcher
Building and leading successful research teams
The importance of international exchange in research
Prof. Speckbacher presented two research projects, providing an insider view on the research process:
A completed project on leadership and team creativity (survey-based research)
An ongoing project on using financial forecasts to evaluate innovative product ideas (experimental research)
Workshop II: Research-based Teaching with Practice Relevance
The afternoon focused on integrating research into teaching:
Teaching entrepreneurship as shared value creation
