TECH2LINK Project

The Tech2Link project is a transformative initiative designed to bridge the gap between academia, industry and society by establishing Technology Transfer Hubs (TTHubs) in higher education institutions (HEIs) across the Western Balkans. These hubs will serve as a catalysis for innovation, entrepreneurship and research commercialization, empowering universities to become key drivers of economic and technological progress in the region.

In an era where knowledge is the most valuable currency, Tech2Link redefines the universities not just as centers of learning, but as engines of innovation, sustainable development, and digital transformation. By integrating cutting-edge research with real-world application, the project will foster collaborative ecosystems where ideas evolve into impactful solutions.

Through capacity building, training programs, and partnerships, Tech2Link will:

  • Establish Technology Transfer Hubs (TTHubs) within HEIs to support research commercialization and innovation.
  • Develop policies and procedures for intellectual property management and technology transfer.
  • Train academic staff, researchers, and students on entrepreneurship, IP rights, and technology commercialization.
  • Enhance cooperation between universities and industry, fostering research collaboration, licensing agreements, and knowledge exchange.
  • Promote internationalization and digital transformation, supporting HEIs in aligning with European higher education standards.

The Tech2Link project addresses key challenges in Western Balkans HEIs by fostering stronger university-industry collaboration through Technology Transfer Hubs (TTHubs). By engaging students, researchers, and businesses, the project ensures research aligns with market needs, enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness while supporting HEIs in meeting international standards.
