Online Forum: How to deliver quality distance learning in the time of coronavirus.

While countries around the world, including Kosovo, are racing to understand and limit the spread of the new coronavirus, understand how to come back to new reality, new reality is that we switched to online teaching.

As of March 15th, Kosovo academic institutions had to change their traditional teaching to a distance one. For some it is a new experience, for some it is something which was already part of their teaching methodology.

Effective online teaching combines awareness of course design with strategies for supporting learners.  Our students’ communities are not only ethnically, physically, and cognitively diverse, but also face social and emotional barriers of coping with COVID 19 situation which may impact their success.

Under the implementation of the KFOS supported project, named Coalition for Higher Education Quality Assurance (CHEQA), IBC-M would like to bring together Kosovo HEIs and invited very well-known European and Education expert Claire Gordon from London School of Economics (LSE), Anke Rigbers, Chief Executive from EVALAG Accreditation Agency, Minister of Education Ms. Hykmete Bajrami, Ms. Mihone Kerolli IBC-M College Director, Mr. Stergios Tragoudas, EU Office in Kosovo, Mr. Shkelzen Gerxhaliu, Kosovo Accreditation Agency, Mr. Marjan Dema, Rector of University of Prishtina and Jelena Djokic, IBC-M Academic Director to discuss one of the most actual topics in the academic levels these days: Quality of distance learning at the coronavirus time.

More Information about the project can be found under: https://www.ibcmitrovica.eu/cheqa-project/.
