The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) has hosted a guest lecture from representatives of Regional Water Company (KRU) on water management, as part of the Water Management course with Prof. Ass. Dr. Afete Shala Musliu, Ph.D. This event was an integral component of the Master’s program, designed to provide students with in-depth knowledge and practical insights into the critical issues of water management.
The distinguished guest speakers included:
- Bashkim Kurti, Chief Executive Officer of KRU, is renowned for his extensive experience in overseeing water supply operations and implementing innovative water management solutions.
- Arilda Hyseni, Head of the KRU Laboratory, is an expert in water quality analysis and has spearheaded numerous projects aimed at improving water safety standards.
- Bahri Hamza, Head of Production at KRU, has a wealth of experience in managing water production processes and ensuring the efficient operation of water treatment facilities.
The lecture provided an insightful discussion on the current state of water management and the numerous challenges faced in this critical sector. Key topics covered included the pressing issues of water conservation, the impacts of climate change on water resources, and the strategies for effective management of water supply systems.
