Zagreb, 28 November 2024 – The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) and the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Zagreb have officially formalized their collaboration by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aimed at strengthening academic and research ties in the fields of agronomy, rural entrepreneurship, agroecology and many more.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, Rector of IBCM, and Prof. Dr. Sc. Aleksandar Mesic, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Zagreb, during a meeting that marked an important milestone for both institutions.

The event included an exchange of institutional insights, with representatives from the University of Zagreb delivering an impressive presentation on their programs, achievements, and international projects. In turn, IBCM shared its best practices and innovative approaches to higher education and community engagement, sparking a dynamic dialogue on mutual goals and opportunities.

The signing ceremony was attended by:

  • University of Zagreb: Prof. Dr. Sc. Marija Cerjak (Vice Dean for Science and International Cooperation), Prof. Dr. Sc. Aleksandar Mesic (Dean), and Martina Šipek Penić (International Relations and Projects Officer).
  • IBCM: Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa (Rector of IBCM), Damir Gashi (Executive Director of Knowledge, Transfer and Innovation Center), and Dea Gaxha (Head of Public Relations and Communications Division).

Key points of discussion included:

  • Student mobility programs, designed to promote intercultural exchange and broaden academic horizons;
  • Joint Ph.D. mentorship initiatives, enhancing research capacities and collaboration at the doctoral level;
  • Collaborative research in agronomy, rural entrepreneurship, and agroecology, with a focus on sustainability and innovation.
