As part of the Water Resource Management course, a group of IBCM Master’s students had the unique opportunity to visit the local water treatment plant. This field trip, led by Prof. Ass. Afete Musliu, allowed students from the Environmental Management specialization to gain practical, real-world experience in water treatment processes and sustainable water management practices.
The visit offered a comprehensive look into the various stages of water purification, from the initial filtration processes to the final distribution of clean water. Students were guided through the facility by experts who shared valuable insights into the technologies and techniques used to ensure a consistent and safe water supply to the local community. This hands-on learning experience reinforced the importance of effective water management in sustaining both the environment and society.
Through this field trip, students were able to connect theoretical knowledge with practical application, seeing firsthand how water resource management is implemented on the ground. The visit also sparked important discussions on the challenges and solutions in the field of water sustainability, a key area of focus for future environmental leaders.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff at the water treatment plant for their warm welcome and for providing such a valuable learning experience for our students. Their expertise and dedication to sustainable water practices continue to inspire the next generation of professionals in the field of environmental management.
