Mitrovica, 12 December 2024 – The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), in collaboration with the Kosovo Erasmus+ Office, successfully hosted the Erasmus+ Information Day at its Riverside Campus.
The event brought together students, faculty, and representatives of higher education to explore opportunities offered under the 2025 Erasmus+ Call for Action. Participants gained valuable insights into various Erasmus+ programs, including:
- International Credit Mobility (ICM)
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters and Design Measures
- Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE)
- Jean Monnet Activities
- Virtual Exchanges in Higher Education and Youth
- Capacity Building in VET, Youth, and Sport
Prof. Dr. Ekrem Gjokaj, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Projects, Innovation, and Scientific Research, opened the event with introductory remarks. He emphasized the significance of international collaboration for advancing higher education and underlined IBCM’s commitment to facilitating global mobility and partnerships.
Keynote speaker Mr. Goran Lazic, Project Officer at the Kosovo Erasmus+ Office, provided a comprehensive overview of Erasmus+ 2025 opportunities, encouraging institutions and students to maximize their participation in international projects.
The event also featured presentations on IBCM’s successful Erasmus+ initiatives, including successful IBCM projects in the 2024 Erasmus+ Call, presented by Mrs. Mirjana Krsmanovic-Vlajic.
During her presentation, Mrs. Mirjana Krsmanovic-Vlajic highlighted impressive achievements in student and staff mobility at IBCM:
- Student Mobility: To date, 94 IBCM students have participated in mobility programs such as Erasmus+ and other international opportunities.
- Staff Mobility: A total of 235 staff mobilities have been conducted, including IBCM academic and administrative staff, as well as staff from partner institutions worldwide.
The event concluded with a general discussion and Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to engage directly with speakers and explore ways to leverage Erasmus+ programs for their academic and professional growth.
