On 27 May 2025, a delegation from the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) visited the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at the University of Zagreb to discuss potential cooperation between the two institutions.

The IBCM delegation included Rector Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Business Management Prof. Asst. Vjosë Latifi, and E Damir Gashi. FEB representatives welcomed them: Prof. Mirjana Pejić Bach, Vice-Dean for Quality Management, Internationalization and Science Prof. Zoran Krupka, Prof. Jovana Zoroja, Prof. Mario Spremić, and Prof. Ivan Jajić.

During the meeting, both higher education institutions expressed interest in establishing a formal partnership to promote academic and scientific collaboration. Key areas of potential cooperation discussed included:

  • Exchange of faculty staff members and researchers
  • Student exchange programs and internship opportunities
  • Joint research activities and publications
  • Collaboration on EU-funded project activities (Erasmus+, EU Horizon, etc)

The visit also included discussions on signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise the collaboration. A draft of the MoU was shared before the meeting for review and feedback.

IBCM Rector Kerolli Mustafa, an alumna of the University of Zagreb, expressed her enthusiasm about the potential partnership with the FEB, highlighting the benefits this cooperation could bring to both institutions in terms of academic growth and international engagement.

Both institutions look forward to finalising the MoU and starting a journey that will contribute to the advancement of higher education and research in the region.
