A delegation from the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM), led by Rector Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Business Management Prof.Asst. Vjosë Latifi, Executive Director of KTIC, Damir Gashi, visited the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture (FSB) at the University of Zagreb on two separate occasions in May 2025, underscoring the strong academic partnership between the two institutions.
On 27 May 2025, the IBCM delegation participated in the official opening ceremony of the newly renovated FSB building. The event was marked by the presence of high-ranking political and academic figures, including Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and University of Zagreb Rector Prof. Dr. Stjepan Lakušić. During the ceremony, Rector Kerolli Mustafa was acknowledged by FSB representatives as a loyal and valued academic partner, receiving strong applause from the audience, a testament to the growing and respected collaboration between IBCM and the University of Zagreb.
On 29 May 2025, the same IBCM delegation returned to FSB to further explore opportunities for collaboration, particularly the development of a joint doctoral program focused on Sustainability. They were warmly welcomed by FSB Dean Prof. Dr. Sc. Zdenko Tonković, Vice-Deans Prof. Dr. Sc. Igor Karšaj and Prof. Dr. Sc. Goran Đukić, along with Prof. Dr. Sc. Lidija Ćurković and Prof. Dr. Sc. Irena Žmak. Discussions during this meeting centered around potential modalities, approaches, and frameworks for the joint PhD program, highlighting the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing sustainability in higher education.
Rector Kerolli Mustafa expressed her appreciation for the hospitality extended by FSB and emphasized the long-standing academic partnership between the two institutions, further strengthened by numerous joint research efforts and EU-funded projects.
