The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) and the University of Mitrovica “Isa Boletini” (UMIB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalize cooperation between the two institutions, with the aim of enhancing academic exchange and contributing to community development in Kosovo.
The agreement was signed by IBCM Rector Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli Mustafa and UMIB Rector Prof. Dr. Nurten Deva during a meeting held at IBCM Campus in Mitrovica.
The agreement outlines joint efforts in key areas such as faculty collaboration, guest lectures, and external evaluations of academic and professional activities. Both institutions have agreed to support the exchange of scientific and technical information, as well as to co-develop research initiatives and professional events, including seminars, workshops, and training programs.
The MoU also includes plans for the development of new academic programs and training modules tailored to local community needs. In addition, it supports joint student research projects and the exchange of sports and cultural groups, fostering greater student interaction and institutional engagement.
The signing ceremony took place in Mitrovica and was attended by representatives from both institutions. The partnership is expected to encourage knowledge sharing, improve academic outcomes, and build a stronger link between higher education institutions and the local community.
IBCM and UMIB will begin implementing activities under the agreement in the coming months, with further announcements expected as specific projects are launched.
