Mitrovica, December 18, 2024 โ The Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) and the Sustainable Higher Education and Research in Kosovo (SHER) program have formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The ceremony, held at IBCM in Mitrovica, was attended by key stakeholders, media representatives, and higher education professionals. The event marked a significant step toward advancing sustainable education and research practices in Kosovo.
The event agenda included opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Mihone Kerolli, Rector of IBCM, and Mr. Aqim Emurli, Program Lead of SHER. Both emphasized the importance of collaboration in fostering institutional growth, promoting inclusivity, and enhancing quality assurance in higher education.
The MoU outlines a collaborative framework where IBCM and SHER will focus on:
- Strategic document development and statute revision for IBCM.
- Implementation of capacity-building activities in internationalization, quality assurance, gender equality, and teaching.
- Harmonization of regulations and facilitation of performance-based funding in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI).
- Strengthening governance, research innovation, and the social dimension of higher education.
โThis partnership is an important milestone for IBCM and will enhance our institutional capacity, ensuring our alignment with global higher education standards,โ stated Prof. Dr. Kerolli.
Following the signing ceremony, participants engaged in an open discussion, addressing the event’s key points and fostering a collaborative dialogue on higher education challenges and opportunities in Kosovo.
