On the 29th of August, Wednesday, International Business College Mitrovica (IBC-M) was honored to host a European Union delegation from European Parliament composed of Bert Koenders (former Minister of Foreign Affairs), Danijel Tadić (International Projects Manager European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity), Jan Marinus Wiersma (Vice-President European Forum for Democracy and Solidarity), Kati Piri (Member of the European Parliament) and Ties Huis in’t Veld (European Parliamentary Assistant).

The Delegation had the chance to get to know IBC-M closely, to visit IBC-M facilities, to find out more about our operations, quality of educational services and unique offer that IBC-M can provide for the young people, challenges, results and major achievements made throughout the years, but also to discuss plans for upcoming period. Apart from meeting with IBC-M management and faculty, the EU Delegation also met with IBC-M students. The students were actively involved in a discussion entitled: ”The future of Kosovo from a youth perspective.”

The topics that were discussed during the meeting were: general situation in the region, the consequences of visa free travel to Europe and the current stance of inter-ethnic relations.

The EU Delegation was impressed with the feedback received from IBC-M students. The EU delegation were happy with the flow of the discussion and stated that the youth of Kosovo has a bright future ahead.

The European Union Office in Kosovo has been a big supporter of IBC-M since the beginning and as of June 2017 is the main Donor of the college. IBC-M Students and Staff express enormous gratitude to the EU Office in Kosovo for all the support provided to the school so far and we truly hope the great cooperation will be continued.
