As a follow-up of a successful visit to IBC-M in April 2022 by professor Dimitrios Petropoulos from The University of Peloponnese, IBC-M was hosted by this university in the city of Kalamata (Greece). The University of Peloponnese is a Greek tertiary educational institution, composed of campuses in Tripoli, Corinth, Kalamata, Nafplio, Sparta, and Patras with 24,000 students in 9 schools across the campuses and 22 departments (https://www.uop.gr/en/). This visit was organized during the week 18th – 22nd of July and it falls under the International Credit Mobility Project funded by ERASMUS+.
IBC-M team composed of the Operational Director (Professor Mihone Kerolli Mustafa), Academic Director (Professor Jelena Djokic), and International Relations Coordinator (Mirjana Krsmanovic Vlajic) participated in this staff exchange activity. Mobility was used to strengthen ties and expand cooperation between The University of Peloponnese and IBC-M. The focus of the discussion was on the implementation of mobility projects and the flow of students and staff in both directions. Potential cooperation and participation in joint international projects were also explored as there is a mutual interest and willingness by both institutions to work closely on developing new project ideas and to establish cooperation in the international arena. This collaboration will be aimed at utilizing all the benefits of future E+ CBHE projects but also at building staff and institutional capacities in both institutions.
Mobility to Peloponnese University was composed of meeting the staff from different departments, visiting campus premises and library building, cultural exchange, and site visits. Discussion and planning for the next E+ CBHE and Horizon calls also took place.
IBC-M considers the mobility of students and staff as an important factor for high-quality education that contributes heavily to the international environment at the college.
