The project, Enhancing Research Culture in Higher Education in Kosovo (ResearchCult), initiated by a 13-consortium group led by the International Business College Mitrovica, is launching the assessment report on the ‘Current state of research capacities in Kosovo universities’ at IBC-M’s Riverside campus tomorrow, 30 th April, 2021 from 10:00.
Following opening and introductory remarks from IBC-M Executive Director, Mr. Harri Tuomola, the Minister responsible for MESTI, Ms. Arbërie Nagavci, Mr. Stergios Tragoudas from the EU Office in Kosovo, a representative of the Rector of the University Fehmi Agani Gjakove, Mr. Artan Nimani, and Ms. Jehona Lushaku, from the Erasmus+ Office in Kosovo, a presentation of the findings will take place. This will include presentations from multiple consortium members on the report itself, the state of research capacities within HEIs in Kosovo, while a focus on the required strategic resources of research centres will be presented alongside an overview of the project and the results to date. The final presentation, delivered by IBC-M College Director, Ms Mihone Mustafa will concentrate on university autonomy and curricula development within HEIs, which will be followed by a discussion on the research assessment and concluding remarks.
The conference, which will take place in the amphitheatre at the IBC-M campus will be made available online to those consortium members unable to participate in-person due to the current COVID restrictions enabling all members the ability to give their inputs during the discussion period.
